Emergency Dock

Lead by a team of three, Sal Prato, Troy Gustavson and John Costello, the community raised in excess of $82,000 for the installation of an Emergency Dock giving access to Eastern Long Island Hospital by boat.  Over 480 individuals contributed to the success of the project, including approximately 20 contractors who donated time, materials, expertise and muscle.

The Emergency Dock Built in 2003 was rededicated in May of 2011 in memory of Sal Prato, Co-Chairman of the dock project.  Thanks to Sal’s vision, Eastern Long Island Hospital is now accessible by land, air and sea.
