Well known in the boating community, Ed Viola loves spending his free time out on the water. A diagnosis of a rare type of stroke came as a big surprise to Ed. “At my age, I never worried about having a stroke. Growing up on the North Fork and raising children here, Bev Sage has always thought of ELIH as “friends helping friends.” When diagnosed with a heart attack, Bev says, “I was immediately put to ease by the warm and friendly professional staff at my community hospital.”
Doing what she loves most, Jean Cooper teaches others the fine art of rug hooking. With an eye for every detail, Jean credits the ambulatory surgery team and her board certified ophthalmologist. “I am delighted that I can see true colors again after cataract surgery.”
